Information on obtaining a criminal conviction history records check on either yourself or someone else. A Criminal Record Check in New Zealand cover all criminal and traffic convictions. They do not include charges where there was no conviction, infringements and charges that have not yet been heard by a court.
To obtain your own criminal record you are required to complete a form and provide a copy of your ID. You may also apply for the full record which displays all concealed convictions.
To obtain a criminal conviction history on someone else requires their signed consent. You will need to complete a form and provide a copy of the person’s ID. Records can take up to 20 working days to process.
