Red Book is an automotive research site providing valuations of all cars and motorcycles sold in New Zealand.
Basic specifications for cars are available for free including their original price at new. If however you wish to obtain a current valuation of a used motor vehicle, or its potential future value, this will require a fee. Red Book valuations are not done based on a physical inspection, but based on data analysis compiled from previous sales transactions and advertised prices.
You start by entering all the vehicle specifics including its current condition and odometer reading. The valuation reports are sent out by email.
Commercial dealers may access book values including wholesale, retail, price history and more.
